Hey, Noah wasn't playing with his dump truck, so I took advantage.

My wife put out a big "Thank You" to all who have been involved with bringing our girls (Vanessa and D'Jounela) in Haiti home. Aside for giving financially(thank you again) there has been many prayers lifted up to the Savior on our behalf. James 1:16 NASB says "the effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much". Who is righteous you ask? Any one who has been washed by the blood of Jesus. Colossians 1:28 NKJ. If you would like to see these verses in the translation that I reference, you can go to blueletterbible.com and select from a number of choices.

Hey Chris,

I really enjoyed reading your posts and am so glad to hear that everything is going so well for you and your family and for the many blessings in your lives! You guys are such a special family and a great inspiration to us! I really enjoyed reading all your scripture references and want to leave you with one of my favorites, Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." These couple verses have really guided us through this difficult, but wonderful journey. I think it is so funny that you talked about how toys are tied down these days, like they need to survive a hurricane. My carpool buddies and I were just discussing this on the way to work the other day. Just hope that you never have to return one of those toys, b/c it is so hard to get all those twisties, tape and screws back into place! Trust me, I know, I've been there! LOL. Hope you guys have a wonderful 2009 and that your girls will be home soon! You and your family will be in our prayers! You have inspired me to at least consider having my own blog some day (emphasis on "some day"). I/we will check in from time to time and see how you guys are doing. Have a great day!
